About NIT Agartala
National Institute of Technology Agartala, or NIT Agartala, is one of the popular higher education institutes in the field of science and technology. It was founded in 1965 and was earlier known as Tripura Engineering College and was declared an NIT in the year 2006. NIT Agartala is being recognised as an institute of national importance by an act of the parliament. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NIT Agartala is ranked 91 in the top engineering colleges in the NIRF ranking 2023. NIT Agartala NIRF ranking was 80th in 2022 for engineering colleges in India.
NIT Agartala believes in the holistic development of its students. It believes in providing students with a blend of practical and academic knowledge. For NIT Agartala admissions to BTech courses, students need to qualify for the JEE Main exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 results and scores. NIT Agartala admission to MTech courses is done through the GATE exam. JAM is accepted for M.Sc admissions, while NIMCET scores are applicable for MCA admissions. The physical verification of documents in NIT Agartala would be held from 14 - 18 August, 2023. Candidates are required to visit the college campus between 9 AM to 4 PM. The documents that should be carried along include JEE (Mains) 2023 score card, age proof (birth certificate/Class 10 admit card), Class 10 & 12 marksheets, provisional admission letter & final seat acceptance letter, photo id proof, caste certificate (if applicable), migration & character certificate, and physical disability certificate.
